Mighty Donald at the Bat

Oh, somewhere in this favoured land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light;
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout,
But there is no joy in MAGAville – mighty Donald has struck out.
-with apologies to Ernest Lawrence Thayer

True, there is not likely anywhere a little black book of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients. The Epstein file can’t even be stuffed into a bulging manila file folder to sit on Pam Bondi’s desk. For the lightly informed, there are various bits and pieces of journalism floating around on the internet that seem to make the whole Epstein issue a minor affair involving a list of a few people like Bill Clinton – and what surprise is there in Bill Clinton’s involvement in salacious things?

It is these lightly informed people whom Donald Trump wants to impress by comparing the “Epstein Hoax” to Russia, Russia, Russia and the other fake stuff that the DNC put out to bring Trump down in his first term.

No, if you were an investigator at the F.B.I., you wouldn’t start looking for a little black book. You would start with a question: How in the heck did this schmuck Epstein go from working in a bookstore to having billions of dollars, owning a private island among other expensive properties, and rubbing elbows with the rich and famous all over the world?

That would lead to other questions, like why was former federal Attorney General Bill Barr’s father the one that plucked Epstein out of the obscurity of the bookstore and set him up in the “financial services” business. And then why was Bill Barr himself the A.G. who ended up prosecuting Epstein? And why did Epstein’s consort, the awkwardly named and currently imprisoned Ghislaine Maxwell, “happen” to be the daughter of one of the Israeli intelligence agency’s chief operatives? And why was she sourcing underage girls for Epstein and his clients among other willing or not so willing sexual partners?

Those questions would lead you to many more, but at this point you would whip out your laptop and set up a spreadsheet to organize a mountain of evidence. One column would be labeled “Johns.” Another would be labeled “Victims.” Another would be labeled “Coconspirators.” Another would be labeled “Known Unknowns.” Another would be labeled “Unknown Unknowns.” And on and on.

And down the left side of the spreadsheet you would have over two decades of years listed. Hundreds and apparently even into the thousands of people, guilty and innocent, would be typed into the cells. Cells upon cells upon cells.

So it went. This is how the universe of Epstein files was built. But the prosecution that put Epstein in prison – and led to his “suicide” that was no suicide at all – focused on only a very few victims and johns in order to put him away, get him somewhere he could be conveniently suicided, and deep six the whole shebang. Pun intended. So grand jury testimony involves only a very narrow slice of the entire Epstein story.

The people involved with Epstein were very wealthy, very powerful, and indeed were the kind of people who turned the wheels of the world. Some still do. They misbehaved sexually in manifold ways and Epstein recorded it. And sexual blackmail is the ultimate weapon, kryptonite against not just financial power but especially against political power.

The Epstein “file” that is being concealed is too big for any one book or any one laptop. No doubt it is the kind of thing AI would be useful in tying together. And no doubt it is just one example of how our government has been compromised by enemies both from within and from without, and that is why despite all the other big things going on, any suppression of the Epstein files is as big a deal as big deals get.

That’s the history Trump wants you to think is a hoax. Not a story, history. If the Epstein files have been corrupted, then have the F.B.I. do the forensics, rebuild the files, and arrest the perpetrators in the files, and also those who corrupted the files. There is no hoax about Epstein and what he was doing over years and years with many, many people. Including Donald Trump.

Now that Trump is trying to sweep it all under the rug, it is clear that somehow Donald Trump is damaged goods, and somehow it involves the Epstein files. And it cannot simply be a birthday card. Which explains at least in part why it is six months in and we’re still feeding weapons and money into Ukraine. And why the self-proclaimed peace president just bombed the poop out of a country with whom we are not at war and Israel is bombing countries left and right with lesser bombs which they source from us. And why Hamas still holds hostages. And why not a single arrest has been made for the stolen election, the Biden mental health coverup, or any of the other abuses of power of the Biden years. Trump is owned somehow, by somebody, but not by the people who voted for him.

The time is now to plan for the post-Trump world, before Republicans lose their slight edge in Congress or Trump strokes out for real – he’s not looking so well lately and after all, he is nearly 80. He’s certainly acting erratically, contradicting himself and attacking ideological allies like Thomas Massie and Rand Paul and his own base. Perhaps a third party movement is the answer now. But by all means, we need to make sure J.D. Vance is all there and that the MAGA appointments hold fast. And do everything we individually can to obliviate the vestiges of the Obama/Biden regime.

Trump might still do some good for MAGA ideals before the midterms but most likely his goose is cooked and after that, America’s is.

Because mighty Donald has struck out.

The proper and urgent role of a third party.

Or third parties, plural. Competition is good. But consider a third party that picks up where traditional patriots have gotten left in the lurch.

It is still unclear how Donald Trump got sucked into the production of the new reality show “Dystopia” starring Mephistopheles as Lindsey Graham, but there he is, swinging sticks with Putin and slowly backing off other MAGA priorities.

Meanwhile a host of formerly independent thinkers from Tulsi Gabbard to Robert Malone who formed the bulk of the Biden opposition have been brought into Trump’s government and now face the agonizing decision: Finally in a place where I can make the greatest difference with my talents, do I follow the Commander in Chief like a good soldier, or resign as a conscientious objector? Do I stay on as the face of the modern regime of pestilence, perversion, and warfare while trying to work against it?

It is also unclear what Elon Musk’s recently announced America Party has as its goals other than to unseat legislators who voted for the Big Beautiful Bill. That’s rather narrow and negative and it arouses no great passion, but it does at least reflect dissatisfaction with the traditional two party system.

But disaffected Americans with the values that made America the shining light to the world now have to seek another path.

Third party efforts in the past have tended to center around strong personalities who were shooting for the presidency like Ross Perot or Pat Buchanan. History has shown that is not a winning approach.

To have a chance to succeed, and make a difference, a third party should orient itself instead toward Congress. It should be formed by Congressional candidates – Reps and Senators – who are principled, independent, and idealogically speaking, strict Constitutional contructionists.

And it would not take a great number of these third party Legislators and Senators to hold great sway in the political process. After all, the electorate and Congress itself are fairly evenly divided between red and blue. A relatively small number of idealogically aligned third party Congressmen and Senators would hold the deciding bloc of votes on nearly every major issue, from impeachment to spending bills to investigations of corruption, bloat, and the surveillance state.

We know who these people are who are already in Congress: Rand Paul, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, and Tim Burchett come immediately to mind. Maybe even on the blue side John Fetterman. There are several others, of course.

To qualify as members of this third party – let’s call it the Homeland Party for a working title – anyone running under its banner should sign an oath to commit to certain common standards. For examples: Paper ballots and Voter I.D.; regular order; a line item veto; strong defense but declaration of war for all major military engagement; tight borders but streamlined legal immigration; preeminence of local rule and allegiance to the Bill of Rights; strict campaign funding standards; vigorous anti-trust enforcement; a balanced budget; restriction of federal police and the spooks; and so on.

Whoever the president is, of whichever of the traditional two parties, would have to convince this bloc of Homeland Party office holders to pass legislation. It would help keep the major parties honest and force them to root out the shadow government. It would temper the cult of personality.

There is no doubt that candidates who commit to the Homeland Party will receive support from both Democratic and Republican voters. Everybody is sick of the Uniparty. Everybody abhors the Deep State. MAGA voters in particular are totally disillusioned by the turn that the Trump administration has taken of late. And traditional Democrat voters feel their party had abandoned them for far left wacko tangents like LGBTQETC and the like.

There is still over a year to the midterms. Plenty of time to gitter going. Anybody game?

The buck stops with Trump, not Bondi.

Monitoring the various conservative podcasts, it is clear that even the most ardent MAGA enthusiasts are pretty disturbed over the Epstein thing. But none of the hosts and only a rare guest pundit will point the finger in the right direction. Instead there is much conversation about Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, and Pam Bondi, or protecting the reputations of the innocent, or a years-long special prosecution. But this fiasco lies at the feet of one person and one person only: Donald Trump.

President Trump lost any vestige of plausible deniability when he jumped down the throat of the reporter who dared ask a question about the Epstein case at this week’s cabinet meeting. There has not been a single question about Epstein posed to the president since then. For all the fanfare, it seems the “alternative media” now included in the White House press corps is afraid to lose their new positions.

And Trump has not granted any of the impromptu press gaggles and availability for which he is famous since the cabinet meeting. Instead he has voiced his support for Pam Bondi in his own shucking and jiving Saturday night Truth Social post. Boy, if that isn’t the kiss of death. The operative term is “damning with faint praise.”

As an aside, sometimes hindsight is 20-20. So perhaps the clearest sign that Trump was heading down the primrose path was his meeting with Zelenskyy at the funeral of Pope Francis. Z-man came away practically whistling, he was so happy. It seems in retrospect that at least from that point, the fix was in. Perhaps that is also about the time the Iranian foray got the green light. Enquiring minds want to know.

For those who have been around since the 70s, Trump’s behavior might feel a bit Nixonian. Nixon was an independent thinker, too. And guess what. It turns out that the latest historical analysis is that Richard Nixon was done in by the Deep State. And as Nixon learned the hard way, it’s the coverup that will send you down river.

Blackmail is only effective if there is a coverup. Come clean, President Trump. We all want to know that YOU are the man making the decisions, not your handlers. We’ve had enough of that from past administrations. Your leadership, clean leadership, is desperately needed by this country. Cut the tripe: Come clean and preside over this democracy as your own man, the one we elected you to be. Stop feeding the war in Ukraine. Make peace in the Middle East. Win the midterms by governing well, not as one governed.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

It’s make or break time for Donald Trump.

He’s done. Finished. Kaput.

What follows is what is to fear. Nature and evil both abhor a vacuum. Politics is certainly not the natural world, so evil is about to rush in.

It is true that Donald Trump was the great white hope. Not white in the sense of race but in the very sense of hope. Hope to right the ship of the Republic to sail further into a future of American rebirth and righteousness, of freedom and the pursuit of happiness for every sovereign individual making up a sovereign nation to light the way for the rest of the world.

But Jeffrey Epstein and the panoply of demons he represents has risen from the grave or the ashes to grab Trump by the short hairs and drag him down to the nine circles of Hell.

The Trump administration came in like a bull in a china shop, immediately cracking down on illegal alien felons, sealing the border, and issuing a string of executive orders that unraveled the manifold ways that Barack Obama’s third term, the illegitimate Biden presidency, had worked to undermine the American way.

And up until and even including in part this past week, Trump has redirected the government away from its wreckage and back to being of, for, and by the people. He nixed the tranny trash. His appointments, especially RFK Jr, were stellar, and already the madness of big pharma has been checked if not stopped. Trump’s other great appointment, Scott Bessent, has done a masterful job implementing the tariffs, all the while quashing inflation. And Marco Rubio has been a brilliant choice for Secretary of State.

All in all, Trump has made great strides in recalibrating the bureaucracy to be value-added rather than value-drained. He at least talked and worked for peace, even if he could not force peace. And just last week, he called Netanyahu’s bluff by bombing Iran’s supposed nuclear facilities, then calling off the dogs.

But the Big Beautiful Bill, while portrayed as a win because of varous high points like funding for the wall, was no win for his base. The spending is astronomical and the saving is only on the come.

The war in Ukraine, an inevitable win for Russia if not a nuclear disaster for the world, rages on and we keep feeding weapons and money into it. The Middle East is still a caldron while Netanyahu regroups to make the case for regime change in Iran, for even without the nuclear threat, the mullahs still feed every kind of mischief and terrorism from Hamas to the Houthis.

Already Kash Patel and Dan Bongino, two megastars of the resistance to the corruption of the DOJ, had been humiliated by claiming that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide. It was obvious to any informed observer that they were forced to do so. But then this week there was the embarrassing display at the cabinet meeting by Trump himself, mocking a reporter who asked a legitimate question and acting as if the Epstein story was a trifle, followed by Pam Bondi’s sounding like a teenager shucking and jiving to shift blame away from her own failure to follow through with the Epstein files.

Trump is tough as nails and smart as a whip. He knows, and all Americans know who understand that their government has been hijacked by nefarious interests – call them the Deep State, the globalists, the communists, the corporatists, the technocrats, or what you will – that what went down on Epstein’s Island and elsewhere in his dealings with the rich and powerful, is the very key to untying that Gordian Knot.

With Covid as Trump 45, he was played. With Epstein, he will be owned. The signs are there already in Ukraine, in the Middle East, in the unrestrained spending, in the growing whispers about mass amnesty… The executive orders are just window dressing if the government is not rescued from the unelected special interests and the big things do not get enshrined into law. And the rule of law is a pipe dream if the perps who break it are not prosecuted, no matter their stations in life.

If Donald Trump does not correct his course immediately and irrevocably by coming clean on the Epstein issue, his and our worst nightmare is about to come true: Trump 47 will go down the drain as no more and no less than Biden’s second term. And any hope for making American great again will go with it.

On the contrary: It is Barack’s bunker that Trump is busting.

Well, it certainly appears that Donald Trump did not get rolled in the Iran deal. It was a tremendous success. It seems to have gone down like this:

Netanyahu – whatever all his reasons, whether political or not but certainly at root for the good reason of doing his very best for his homeland and people – decided to force the issue with President Trump by attacking Iran. Trump called his bluff. He sent the bombers. They blew the poop out of whatever Iran had going on. So Israel could not say that America didn’t serve them as a dutiful ally. But then President Trump forced a truce. That is not at all what Netanyahu had in mind.

And by blowing Iran’s complexes to smithereens, Trump called Iran’s bluff as well. After all this time it is apparent that they are not competent to build nuclear bombs nor deliver nuclear bombs. Only Russia or China could get them to that point. And not even they like this idiot Ayatollah and his idiotic theocracy. It’s just that the Iranian regime has been a nest of useful idiots to them, providing all kinds of mischief and threat as a thorn in America’s side. Trump neutralized that as well.

But most of all, Donald Trump’s bunker buster bomb gambit busted Barack Obama’s chops. Obama had more riding on the ayatollahs than anyone. But he is watching his legacy of death and destruction and chaos in the Middle East via the Arab Spring and Isis and the Iran pallets-of-euros deal fall apart even quicker than his God-awful marriage, drowning more certainly even than his “cook,” and he senses the shadow of a bunker buster bomb descending at a high rate of speed directly at his own island bunker. On it are painted the words “truth” and “justice” and it is fueled by a revenant president named Donald J. Trump.
