Preparing for the Meltdown

You are in for a big letdown if you approach politics and history like following a football team. Your team might have a good run or two but it is never going to win the Super Bowl. (Especially if “Q” has led you to follow the Tennessee Titans, a team that was snakebitten from the get-go if ever one was). Perhaps that is why so many people do not follow political news, do not vote, do not want to know about it.

Those people, unfortunately, are living in Fakey World. Even moreso than the ones who listen to Joe Scarborough or Sean Hannity and cheer mindlessly for the Blues or the Reds as if they were an NFL team. For politics (which is the making of history) is the weather of our lives and our children’s lives. You better know when to take your umbrella or a raincoat when you go out. You better not plan your exotic vacation during the monsoon season. And if you can do something about the weather, like vote for better weather, you best do so, teach your children to do so, and encourage those around you as well to do so.

In this way political life is slightly better than the weather. There’s not a dang thing you can do to change the weather, Green New Deal notwithstanding. But you just might be able to vote the bastards out of office, as just happened with the Biden junta last November.

Donald Trump: The 21 Century’s George Washington? Or Sulla?

Who? Sulla? Most people think that Julius Caesar was the Roman Empire’s first dictator. But in fact it was a remarkable man named Sulla.

Sulla was a fierce military leader who won several key contests and ended up appointed dictator by the Senate in the late Roman Republic of the early 1st Century B.C. He believed in the traditional republican values that had made Rome great and was distressed by how it was was going astray due to corruption. In a sort of “Make Rome Great Again” movement, he issued a number of fiats designed to get the Roman Republic back on track. As soon as he felt his work was done, setting an example for George Washington after his second term as President, Sulla retired to his plantation.

Like Trump’s feeling that God had spared him the assassin’s bullet to do great things in his second administration, Sulla believed that he had been spared by the gods to right the course of the Republic. Thus he dubbed himself “Sulla Felix,” which means Sulla the Lucky.

The problem was, Sulla’s fiats were roughly equivalent to Trump’s executive orders. The reforms he instituted did not outlive his dictatorship. The corrupt Senate and the rest of the government got right back to its former ways which, in a nutshell, amounted to making the rich richer and the common Roman, poorer.

Trump at the Crossroads

God willing Trump will succeed at forging, or in effect forcing, an end to the conflict in Ukraine. If he does, then he will have outwitted the Mephistopheles of Perversion, Pestilence, and War, Lindsey Graham. And God willing, Trump will succeed at reining in Netanyahu so that he stops attacking neighboring countries and just rescues the hapless Gazans from Hamas.

There is no doubt that Donald Trump is the greatest American of this century. He is smart and fearless and committed to winning for the American people. But if he only changes the downward spiral of American culture through a series of executive orders that can be undone by the next administration, or simply a changing of the majority in Congress, then he will go down as America’s Sulla.

Why Epstein Matters

Something is severely wrong with Trump’s repeated and continuing assertions that the Epstein matter is a hoax and his continual attacks on those who will not let the matter rest, even his allies, as “panickans.” What went on at Epstein’s island and other properties is real and to those who want America to break the bonds of special interests manipulating its destiny both within and abroad, it is emblematic of the Deep State and Globalist conspirators who want to bring America down.

No one seems to think that Trump is protecting his own hide as if he had participated in Epstein’s perversion. But clearly, unless he is playing chess on a level at which few believe he is even capable, he is protecting someone or something if not himself. This he must stop. The recent revelations of the perfidy of Bill Barr and Barr’s ties to the Bushes and the Clintons and Obama and the CIA and Mossad, make this more important than ever.

But most of us are mere voters. We can only do so much. It is up to Donald Trump to come clean, institute meaningful longlasting reforms through Congress, or go down in Nixonian disgrace. There is other trouble brewing and we best be prepared if Trump does not outwit the demons of the Left.

The Coming Meltdown

For decades now, the rich have been getting richer and the poor – or at least the “not rich” in America because with all the entitlements, it is almost impossible to be truly poor here – have had an increasingly smaller share of the pie. As the banks and money speculators in general have manipulated property and markets, housing prices have spiked and other basic assets that define independence – like cars, tools, weapons, and such – have gotten out of reach for more and more people. When you have to put your groceries on a credit card, you know you’re in trouble, and more and more people have been doing just that. The rampant, spiking inflation of the Biden term really hammered the nails shut on the coffins of many people’s aspirations for financial independence.

Especially the younger generations’, defined for the moment as anyone from 15 to 45. They have high standards of living (from their long time at home in the suburbs and at college) and low expectations of earning that sort of living themselves. In fact, their parents quite likely inherited that standard of living from their own parents, but there’s the old “shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves” thing, and today’s younger generation is the second “shirtsleeves” in that equation.

One big reason is debt from college. This is a terrible scourge. When this younger generation turned 18, everything was telling them they had to go to college and at the same time, “privacy” laws allowed them to lock their parents out of seeing their report cards and shaping their majors, while college advisors were working with the (newly federally driven) loan industry to have them sign on the bottom line, making them debt-slaves for years to come.

Forgiving all that debt is no solution, unfair to those who paid it off quickly and those who never took it, but the manifold stories of young adults well into their 30s still paying off college debt – or mainly interest on their college debt – are gobsmacking. And it is the reason that out of desperation they will listen to truly idiotic “influencers” like AOC and Beto and other rabble rousers.

Perhaps there could be a debt “trade-down.” Push military, or Americorps, or Peace Corps, or even law enforcement service in exchange for drawing down student loan debt?

Somebody better think of something to solve issues like this or civilization is about to be rocked by an immense amount of upheaval. The funny thing is, this witch’s brew is no different than issues which Sulla and then Caesar had to contend with in the late Roman republic. Somehow it is always about the monied classes squelching property ownership and opportunity for the non-monied classes. America solved that problem for about two centuries by enabling “the pursuit of happiness” aka social mobility for those who took advantage of opportunity.

It seems that when Trump talks about making America great again, that is what he is really trying to get us back to. God help him. Meanwhile, it is smart to recognize that he is a mere mortal, and not a young one at that. The smartest young people will prepare for troubled times ahead and hope and pray that all such preparations do is position them better for the hoped-for good times. At worst a French or Bolshevik revolution is coming; at best, something hard to imagine with AI and corporatism poised to scuttle anything that threatens their hegemony.

Wise Words from James Brown, the Godfather of Soul

“If you stay ready, you ain’t gotta get ready.” James Brown was also known as “the hardest working man in show business.” He had little tolerance for slackers and demanded the highest standards from his band members. His family was another matter. That is always the way it is with great people. As Jesus said, “A prophet is never appreciated in his own home town.” Never mind all that: Stay ready – you never know the time nor the place when being ready is just what is needed.

Stop living in Fakey World. It may be the hardest thing you do in this life, even harder than conquering a substance addiction, but if you want to hold onto your soul and live a life not as a slave but as a free and sovereign individual, put that dad-blasted phone down and walk away from it. It is, and is increasingly proving to be not just through common sense but evidenced by scientific studies, the Ouija Board of the the 21st Century. Put that phone away and you will never be poor.

Buy a piece of land. Any piece of land. Free and clear, with cash. If you look hard, you can still find an acre for less than $2,000. Trade it up and make a profit on it if you can, but always have that piece of land and you will never be poor.

Learn a needed skill. Even if you or your parents spent a gazillion dollars sending you to an elite or not-so-elite college, spend as much time as you can find outside of that underachieving job you might have to take a course at a community college or through a trade union or as a volunteer apprentice to learn something other people will pay for even in a pinch – mechanical or electrical or handyman work, short-order cooking or emergency medicine or roofing by God – and you will never be poor.

Have an escape plan. Even if you have to live in a city, be ready to drop everything and escape at a moment’s notice and you will never be poor.

Store your nuts. If you have extra money, fine, play with the stock market or Bitcoin or whatever, but you better be like a squirrel with enough hard assets to live on and trade with when the grid goes down. Then you will never be poor.

Eschew subscriptions. Heck, if you are wasting your money on Netflix and the Cloud or God forbid, PSLs or their ugly twin brother timeshares, you are already poor. Stop that! Otherwise you will always be poor.

Choose your spouse very, very carefully. All that glitters is not gold. “If you want to be happy for the rest of your life…” Just saying. True love means never having to say you are poor.

Go with God. Don’t be a fool. Seek. And you will find. And thus you will really never be poor.
